Experience

I have a master's degree in public health and a pre-med Bachelor of Science, both from Philadelphia University. Along with my time at Philadelphia University, I also studied at Drexel University, gaining a pre-medical sciences post-baccalaureate. I currently work at Philadelphia University as an anatomy and physiology lab instructor. I also work with patients who have had hip and knee implants. This experience has given me a healthy exposure to the sciences as well as experience tutoring undergrads, especially in anatomy and physiology.I'm passionate about using the tools of technology to help me teach, and about health policy, environmental health, and the sciences. I've found that getting to know a student's learning style and personality type is crucial in making the tutoring experience successful for each student, as each student learns differently. I try to make the material relevant to the students' daily lives, so that they can see the importance of some of the more complex subjects. Quite simply, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to learning. I strive to get to know each and every student, which is what makes small group and one-on-one tutoring so successful. In my personal time, I enjoy writing, watching TV, listening to music, and singing.
